360 Photo Booth vs. Regular Photo Booth: Which Is Right for Your Party?

Both are fun. They just give your guests very different things to take home. Here's how to pick.

How each one works

A regular photo booth is a camera on a stand in front of a backdrop. Guests grab props, pose for a few shots and get photos on their phone or a printed strip.

A 360 photo booth is a round platform with a camera arm that circles around guests. They stand on the platform, the arm spins, and they get a short slow-motion video made for Instagram and TikTok.

What guests take home

  • Regular booth: photos, GIFs and boomerangs on their phone with our Digital Booth, or printed strips with the Printer Booth.
  • 360 booth: a slow-motion video sent to their phone right after the spin, with your personalized overlay on every video.

If your guests want something to hold, go with prints. If they want something to post, the 360 wins.

Price

At EMCO Booth the two are close:

  • Digital Booth: $228 for 2 hours
  • 360 Booth: $249 for 2 hours
  • Printer Booth: $298 for 2 hours

You can add one song choice to every 360 video for $85.

Space and group size

A regular booth fits big groups. Ten friends can squeeze into one shot.

The 360 platform usually fits 1 to 4 guests at a time, so it works best for couples, small friend groups and solo moments. It also needs open floor space around it for the arm to spin safely.

Which events fit which booth

Pick a 360 booth for:

  • Sweet 16s, proms and quinceañeras
  • Product launches and brand events
  • Theme nights where outfits are part of the fun

Pick a regular booth for:

  • Weddings, where prints double as a guestbook
  • Family parties with grandparents and kids in the same shot
  • Corporate holiday parties with big teams

Can you have both?

Yes. Some hosts set up the 360 for the entrance and a photo booth near the dance floor. It spreads the crowd out and gives guests both a video and photos.

Questions people ask

Is a 360 photo booth worth it?

If your guests love posting videos, yes. It's the booth people crowd around to watch. For older crowds or guestbook keepsakes, a printer booth usually gets more use.

How many people fit on a 360 photo booth?

Usually 1 to 4 guests, depending on the platform size.

Do 360 booths print?

No. A 360 booth makes videos, which are sent to guests' phones right after the spin.
