Magazine Box Photo Booth Rental in Delaware: Is It for You?

The Magazine Box is a life-size, light-up magazine cover your guests step into. The cover carries your names, your date and your own headlines, and the lighting kit makes every phone photo look like a print edition. It's a different kind of photo spot from a regular booth, so before you book a Magazine Box photo booth rental in Delaware, it's worth asking whether it fits your event. Start with the five signs below.
Five signs a Magazine Box fits your event
- Your guests will be dressed up. Gowns, suits and coordinated outfits look their best on a magazine cover.
- You want photos on guests' own phones. Guests snap the cover with their own phones, so the photos are theirs right away.
- You want a decor piece, not just a booth. The box is big, lit and personalized. It doubles as a focal point in the room.
- Your event runs long. It's an all day rental, so it can stay out from the cocktail hour through the last dance.
- You have a group that loves group shots. Bridal parties, families and friend groups fill the frame together.
If three or more of those sound like your event, the Magazine Box is a strong fit. If you mainly want prints or silly props, look at our photo booths instead, or pair the two.
Magazine Box photo booth rental Delaware: what $850 covers
The Magazine Box is $850 for the whole day. That includes:
- The life-size magazine box
- Standard customization of the cover title, your names, the date and the headlines
- A lighting kit
- All day rental
You pick your cover design after you book. Delaware events have no sales tax added, so the box is $850 before any extras or travel. A 35% deposit locks your date, and card payments add a 5% processing fee.
Add-ons that pair well with the box
Because guests use their own phones, the most useful extras add prints, sharing or a pro photographer.
- Printer photo booth, $550. A photo booth next to the box that prints for every guest.
- 4x6 prints, $250. Bigger prints from that printer booth. Needs the printer booth add-on.
- Digital photo booth, $450. Photos, GIFs and boomerangs sent to guests' phones.
- Photographer, $750. A photographer stationed with the Magazine Box.
- Flower frame, $550. A floral frame around the cover.
- Balloon garland, $450. A balloon garland styled around the box.
- Red carpet and ropes, $200. Red carpet with stanchions and ropes.
- Audio phone booth, $299. Guests pick up the phone and leave you a voice message.
- Attendant, $50 an hour. Book anywhere from 2 to 10 hours.
Example: A wedding with the Magazine Box ($850), the flower frame ($550) and the travel fee ($175) comes to $1,575. Add the printer photo booth ($550) and it's $2,125, still with no sales tax.
Where it fits in Delaware
The Magazine Box suits weddings, milestone birthdays, galas and fundraisers, and bridal parties and showers. A few Delaware settings where it makes sense:
- Galas at the Hotel du Pont. A formal room and a dressed up crowd are exactly what the cover is made for. A cover with the event name on it works well for fundraisers.
- Big receptions at the Chase Center on the Riverfront. The large riverfront halls give the box room to stand as a centerpiece, with space for a line to form.
- Garden weddings at Winterthur Museum, Garden and Library. Add the flower frame so the cover matches the garden.
- Milestone birthdays and showers. A 50th birthday in Hockessin or a bridal shower in Lewes or Rehoboth Beach gets a cover with the guest of honor's name on it.
Travel fee or pickup
You have two options for getting the box to your event:
- We bring it and set it up for a $175 travel fee. The Magazine Box has its own fee, separate from the $75 delivery on our photo booths.
- You pick it up and drop it off yourself.
If we bring it, the balance is due 7 days before your event. If you pick it up, you pay the balance at pickup. We cover the whole state, from Wilmington, Claymont and New Castle to Dover, Milford, Georgetown and Seaford.
