Audio Guest Book Rental Atlanta: How It Works and Costs

Audio guest book phone booth with a Leave a Message neon sign

A paper guestbook gets a signature and maybe a line or two. An audio guest book gets your grandmother's voice telling the story of her own wedding, your college roommate laughing halfway through a toast, and a nephew who picked up the phone three times. If you're planning an audio guest book rental in Atlanta, here's how one plays out over a wedding day, what it costs and how to get the most out of it.

A wedding day with an audio guest book

The phone stays out all day, so it fits into the day without anyone managing it.

  1. Before guests arrive. The phone is set up near the entrance or the bar, with your custom greeting recorded and ready.
  2. Cocktail hour. Guests have a drink in hand and time to kill. This is when the longest, funniest messages tend to happen.
  3. Dinner. Things slow down at the phone while everyone eats. A note on the tables or a mention from the DJ brings people back.
  4. Dancing. Guests who just came off the dance floor leave short, loud, happy messages. Those are often the ones couples replay most.
  5. End of the night. The phone stays out until the event ends, so the last guests out the door can still leave a goodbye.
  6. After the event. You get every message as an audio file to keep, share or play at your first anniversary.

Audio guest book rental Atlanta prices

The Audio Guest Book is an all-day rental, so you don't pick hours. There are two prices:

  • On its own: $399 for the whole day
  • Added to any photo booth: $299

Every rental includes the phone for the full day, your custom greeting and every message as an audio file afterward.

Events in the Atlanta metro are charged 8.9% sales tax. Rented on its own and picked up from us, the audio guest book is $399 plus $35.51 in tax, or $434.51.

Pickup from our location is free, or we deliver and set it up for $75. A 35% deposit holds your date. The balance is due 7 days before the event if we deliver, or at pickup. Card payments add a 5% fee.

Pairing it with a photo booth

If you're already renting a photo booth, the audio guest book costs $100 less. Guests get a photo to take home and you get their voices to keep. A few pairings that work:

  • Printer Booth + audio guest book. 4 hours of the Printer Booth ($398) plus the phone ($299) is $697 before tax. Prints for guests, messages for you.
  • Glam Booth + audio guest book. For a formal wedding at the Fox Theatre in Midtown, black and white portraits and recorded toasts make a matched set. 4 hours of glam ($479) plus the phone ($299) is $778.
  • Digital Booth + audio guest book. The budget-friendly pair. 3 hours of the Digital Booth ($278) plus the phone ($299) is $577.

Put the phone a short walk from the booth, not right next to it. Guests who just took photos are in a good mood and ready to talk, but they need a quiet spot to hear the greeting.

Styling extras and where it fits

The phone can be dressed up to match your event. Add-ons:

  • Artificial flowers: $100 for floral styling around the phone
  • Vintage phone: $200 for a classic rotary-style handset
  • LED light: $200 for a glowing light-up display
  • Red carpet: $200 with stanchions

For a garden wedding at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the artificial flowers blend right into the setting. For a gala or a big anniversary party at the Georgia Aquarium, the LED light helps guests find the phone in a darker room.

Weddings are the most common use, but the audio guest book fits any event where people have something to say:

  • Anniversaries. A 25th or 50th in Marietta or Peachtree City, where friends from every decade leave a memory.
  • Retirement parties. Coworkers in Alpharetta or Sandy Springs leave the stories that don't fit in a card.
  • Baby showers. Advice and well wishes in Decatur or Duluth that the child can listen to years later.

Questions people ask

Can we record our own greeting?

Yes. A custom greeting is included with every rental, so guests hear your message before they leave theirs.

The $299 price applies when you add it to any photo booth. On its own, the audio guest book is $399 for the whole day.

Can the phone match our wedding colors or theme?

You can style it with artificial flowers for $100, or swap in a vintage rotary-style phone or an LED light display for $200 each.
