Audio Guest Book Rental in Baltimore and Annapolis

Audio guest book phone booth at a wedding venue

What will you actually remember from your guest book in ten years? A signature fades into a list of names. A voice doesn't. That's the idea behind an audio guest book rental in Baltimore and Central Maryland: guests pick up a phone, hear your greeting and leave a message you can play back whenever you want.

How the audio guest book works

It's about as simple as an event extra gets.

  1. Every rental comes with a custom greeting, so guests hear your words when they lift the receiver.
  2. Guests pick up the phone and leave a voice message after the greeting.
  3. They hang up and go back to the party. No app, no screens.
  4. After the event, you get every message as an audio file.

The rental is all day. It stays out from setup until the event ends, so you don't have to pick which part of the night gets it. Late arrivals and the last people on the dance floor can both leave a message.

Audio guest book rental in Baltimore and Central Maryland: two ways to book

There are only two prices to know with EMCO Booth.

  • On its own: $399 all day.
  • Added to any photo booth: $299 all day.

That $100 difference is worth noting. If you're already thinking about a Digital Booth or Printer Booth, adding the phone costs less than renting it alone. Booths are priced by the hour, but the audio guest book runs all day either way.

Maryland sales tax is 6%. On the $399 standalone rental, that's $23.94. On the $299 add-on, it's $17.94. Card payments include a 5% processing fee.

Pickup from our location is free, and you return it the day after the event. Delivery and setup is $75. A 35% deposit holds the date, and the balance is due 7 days before the event for delivery, or at pickup.

Styling add-ons

The phone can sit on a table as is, or you can dress it up. These are the four styling extras:

  • Vintage phone: $200. A classic rotary-style handset.
  • Artificial flowers: $100. Floral styling around the phone.
  • LED light: $200. A glowing light-up display that helps guests find it in a dim room.
  • Red carpet: $200. Red carpet and stanchions to make the phone a destination.

For an evening reception, the LED light makes sense because people spot the phone from across the room. For a garden or daytime event, flowers usually fit better.

Example: the audio guest book on its own ($399) with the vintage phone ($200) and flowers ($100) is $699 before tax.

Events where a voice message means more

Weddings. This is the big one. A wedding at The Belvedere in Mount Vernon, with its historic ballroom, suits a vintage phone on a side table near the entrance. Pair it with a photo booth and you have pictures and voices from the same night.

Anniversaries. A 25th or 50th anniversary dinner in Towson, Pikesville or Bel Air brings generations together. Grandkids leave silly messages, old friends share stories, and the couple gets to hear all of it later.

Retirement parties. Coworkers often say things into a phone they'd never write on a card. An office send-off in Columbia or Hunt Valley gets a lot more personal this way.

Baby showers. Friends and family leave advice and wishes for the baby to hear years from now. A shower in Severna Park or Ellicott City is a lovely fit.

Waterfront parties work too, from Annapolis to the Inner Harbor, where the Baltimore Museum of Industry has waterfront views. Just put the phone somewhere a bit quieter than the band. Our Baltimore photo booth rental page has more on the area we cover.

A few planning tips

  • Keep the greeting short. A sentence or two is enough. "Leave us a message and tell us your favorite memory" works better than a long speech.
  • Put a sign by the phone. Some guests won't know what it is until they read a small note.
  • Place it away from the speakers. Messages sound better when the background noise is low.
  • Announce it once. Ask the DJ or host to mention it after dinner. It gets a second wave of messages.

Questions people ask

Can we choose what the greeting says?

Yes. Every rental includes a custom greeting. Tell us what you want guests to hear when they pick up.

What do we get after the event?

You get every message as an audio file, so you can save them, share them or play them at a family dinner.

Does it need to be next to the photo booth?

No. It can sit anywhere at the venue, and a quieter corner usually gives clearer messages.

Is it worth adding if we already have a photo booth?

That's when it costs the least. Added to any booth it's $299 instead of $399.
