Audio Guest Book Rental San Francisco Bay Area: How It Works

A guest walks up, lifts the receiver and hears your voice: "Thanks for coming, leave us a message." They laugh, tell a story, maybe get a little emotional, and hang up. After the event, you play it back. That's an audio guest book rental in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it's one of the simplest things you can add to an event. Here's exactly how it works and what it costs with EMCO Booth.
How an audio guest book rental works in the San Francisco Bay Area
- Book it. Rent the Audio Guest Book on its own, or add it to any photo booth.
- Set your greeting. A custom greeting is included, so guests hear a message from you when they pick up.
- Set it out. Pick it up from us for free, or have us deliver and set it up for $75.
- Let guests talk. The phone stays out all day, from setup until the event ends.
- Get your messages. After the event, we send every message to you as an audio file.
That's the whole process. If guests can use a phone, they can leave a message.
Price: on its own or with a booth
- On its own: $399 for the whole day
- Added to any photo booth: $299 for the whole day
There are no hourly prices for this one. It's an all-day rental either way.
Prices are before tax. Bay Area events are taxed at 10.25%, so the Audio Guest Book on its own, picked up, comes to $439.90. Card payments add a 5% fee.
A 35% deposit holds your date. For the $399 rental, that's $139.65. The balance is due 7 days before the event if we deliver, or at pickup.
You can style the phone with these add-ons:
- Artificial flowers around the phone: $100
- Vintage phone, a classic rotary-style handset: $200
- LED light, a glowing light-up display: $200
- Red carpet and stanchions: $200
Where to set up the phone
Placement makes a big difference. A phone tucked in a dark hallway gets passed by. One that guests walk past on the way to their seats gets used. Some ideas for Bay Area venues:
Fairmont San Francisco, Nob Hill. At a ballroom wedding, set the phone near the entrance or the escort card table. Guests stop there anyway.
San Francisco City Hall, Civic Center. Putting the phone at the reception after a City Hall ceremony gives guests time to say something real once the ceremony is over.
Napa. At a vineyard wedding, a vintage phone with artificial flowers fits the setting. Keep it somewhere guests pass between the ceremony and dinner.
Always check your venue's own rules on vendors and setup before the day.
Events that fit beyond weddings
Weddings get most of the attention, but the Audio Guest Book works at any event where people have something to say to the guest of honor.
- Anniversaries. A 25th or 50th anniversary party in Walnut Creek or Pleasanton fills up with stories you won't get in a card.
- Retirement parties. Coworkers in San Jose or Redwood City can leave the inside jokes they'd never write down.
- Baby showers. Friends in Berkeley or San Mateo leave advice and wishes the baby can hear one day.
Three sample budgets, before tax:
- Retirement party in San Jose, picked up: Audio Guest Book ($399) and LED light ($200). Total $599.
- Wedding with a Glam Booth, 4 hours: Glam Booth ($479), Audio Guest Book added ($299) and delivery ($75). Total $853.
- Napa wedding with a Printer Booth, 5 hours: Printer Booth ($448), Audio Guest Book added ($299), vintage phone ($200), artificial flowers ($100) and delivery ($75). Total $1,122.
If you're already booking a photo booth, adding the phone saves $100 compared to renting it on its own.
