Joliet Wedding and Banquet Hall Photo Booth Guide

Photo booth and printer next to a red, black and white balloon arch

Joliet weddings and banquets tend to be big. Big families, big rooms and a dance floor that stays full. That's good news for a photo booth, as long as you plan where it goes and how long it runs. Here's a practical guide.

What makes banquet hall parties different

Banquet halls give you space, but they also give you a long night. Guests sit through dinner, toasts and a few hours of dancing. A booth gives them a break from the table and a reason to mix with the other side of the family.

A few things to sort out with your hall before booking:

  • Where the booth can stand. Ask for a corner near the dance floor, not behind the head table. Booths near the music stay busy.
  • Power. Every booth needs an outlet close by.
  • Load-in time. Find out when vendors can get in so the booth is ready before guests arrive.
  • The exit path. Keep the booth clear of doors the catering staff use.

Three Joliet venues and how a booth fits

Rialto Square Theatre

The Rialto Square Theatre on North Chicago Street hosts weddings in its grand Rotunda, with a sweeping staircase made for big entrances. A Glam Booth suits the old movie palace feel. Black-and-white portraits next to that staircase look like stills from a classic film.

Jacob Henry Mansion Estate

The Jacob Henry Mansion Estate on South Eastern Avenue pairs a Gilded Age mansion with the limestone Old Central Church and garden spaces, for groups up to around 400. With that many guests, a Printer Booth with unlimited prints and a scrapbook gives everyone a keepsake and gives you a guest book full of faces.

Harrah's Joliet

Harrah's Joliet has a banquet ballroom of more than 6,000 square feet that holds up to 280 for a reception. It's a high-energy setting, so a 360 Booth fits well. Guests spin, get a slow-motion video and head back to the party.

Booth picks for weddings and banquets

Prices are before tax. Every booth includes props and a design with your names, date and colors.

  1. Printer Booth: $298 for 2 hours, $348 for 3, $398 for 4. Our most common wedding pick. Prints for everyone, as many as they want.
  2. Glam Booth: $379 for 2 hours, $439 for 3, $479 for 4. For formal rooms and couples who want the photos to feel elegant.
  3. 360 Booth: $249 for 2 hours, $299 for 3, $349 for 4. Videos on phones right after each spin.
  4. Digital Booth: $228 for 2 hours. A good fit for rehearsal dinners, showers and company banquets where guests just want photos on their phones.

For a full banquet, think about 4 hours. It covers cocktail hour through the late dance set without a gap.

What a full banquet setup costs

Here are two examples, all before tax.

  • Classic wedding: Printer Booth for 4 hours ($398), scrapbook ($240), shimmery backdrop ($100) and delivery ($75). Total $813.
  • Big dance floor wedding: 360 Booth for 4 hours ($349), one song choice ($85), attendant for 4 hours ($200) and delivery ($75). Total $709.

Pickup, delivery and payment

Pickup from our location is free, and you return the booth the day after. Delivery and setup is $75 if you'd rather have us handle it. The booking builder confirms the details for your venue.

A 35% deposit locks your date. If we deliver, the balance is due 7 days before the event. If you pick up, it's due at pickup. Card payments include a 5% processing fee.

Questions people ask

Will a photo booth fit in a banquet hall corner?

Yes. Our booths are made to fit everything from small rooms to ballrooms. The 360 Booth needs a bit more open floor around the platform, so tell your hall coordinator you need a clear spot.

How many hours should we book for a Joliet wedding?

Most banquet weddings book 3 or 4 hours. With EMCO Booth, the Printer Booth is $348 for 3 hours and $398 for 4.

Can someone run the booth for us?

Yes. An attendant is $50 an hour and handles the booth, helps guests and keeps the line moving.

Can we use the booth at a company banquet too?

Yes. The Digital Booth is a popular pick for work events. It starts at $228 for 2 hours and sends photos straight to phones.
