Digital Photo Booth Rental Chicago: Prices and Party Ideas

Picture a June graduation open house in Naperville. The tent is up in the backyard, relatives are driving in from Aurora and Plainfield, and the graduate wants a photo with every one of them. A printer would mean a line and a stack of paper on the gift table. A digital photo booth rental in Chicago and the suburbs handles it differently: guests pose, and the photos, GIFs and boomerangs land on their phones a few seconds later.
That's the job our Digital Booth was built for. Below is what it costs, the parties it suits best around Chicagoland, and how pickup and payment work.
Why phones beat prints at some parties
Open houses and casual parties have guests who come and go. Nobody wants to wait around for a print, and most people would rather post the GIF than carry a strip home. With the Digital Booth, guests enter a phone number or scan a QR code and the photos show up right away.
It works best for:
- Graduation open houses in places like Ashbury, Wheaton and Glen Ellyn
- Birthdays and sweet 16s, where the boomerang is online before the cake comes out
- Office holiday parties and company events
- Weddings where the budget needs to stretch
Every rental includes unlimited pictures, a personalized photo design and props. Because there's no printer or camera rig to bring, it's also our lowest-priced booth.

Where it fits around Chicagoland
The Digital Booth takes up very little floor space, so it works in a small hotel meeting room as well as a big ballroom. A few places where it makes sense:
The Field Museum on the Museum Campus hosts corporate events and fundraisers. A Digital Booth with your logo on the design means every shared photo carries the brand out of the room.
Carleton of Oak Park Hotel has four event rooms in downtown Oak Park. Any of them has space for the booth, and guests coming in from River Forest, Forest Park and Berwyn get their photos before they head home.
Bowes Creek Country Club in far west Elgin hosts showers and milestone parties at Johnny's Supper Club. Instant sharing keeps the party moving without a print table to watch over.
We also cover backyard parties and banquet rooms in Schaumburg, Evanston, Skokie, Orland Park, Arlington Heights and the rest of the area. Our Chicago photo booth rental page lists every booth we bring to the city and suburbs.
Pickup, delivery and payment
You have two ways to get the booth to your party:
- Pick it up for free from our location before the event and return it the day after.
- Have us deliver and set it up for $75.
A 35% deposit locks your date. If we deliver, the balance is due 7 days before the event. If you pick up, you pay the balance at pickup. Card payments include a 5% processing fee.
One more example. A 4-hour office holiday party with delivery and the digital gallery is $348 + $75 + $120, or $543 before tax. The deposit on that is $190.05.
You can skip the attendant for most casual parties, since guests figure out the screen in a minute. For a big company party where you want someone keeping the line moving, it's $50 an hour.
Questions people ask
Do guests need anything special to get their photos?
Just their phone. They type in their number or scan a QR code at the booth and the photos arrive in seconds.
Is a Digital Booth enough for a Chicago wedding?
It can be, especially if most guests want photos on their phones. If you'd like printed keepsakes too, add unlimited printing for $240 or look at our Printer Booth.
What's the cheapest way to book one in Chicago?
Book 2 hours for $228, time it for the busiest part of the party and pick it up yourself. Then the only thing added is the 10.25% tax.
Can I add an audio guest book to the Digital Booth?
Yes. The Audio Guest Book is $299 when you add it to any booth, instead of $399 on its own.
